You’ll understand when you’re older.

What’s something that you’re thankful for now that your parents did after telling you, “you’ll understand when you’re older?”or “you’ll understand when you have kids?”

For me, my parents never just let me spend the night with someone. My parents had to know their parents, have met them, and actually talked to them. Couldn’t do the oh well they said yes. I also had to call from the house phone, to let them know I was actually there.

Now that I’m older and have children, I completely understand their reasoning behind it.
