Have you ever experienced “gender disappointment”?

No, after three miscarriages I honestly didn’t care about the gender. We didn’t even find out til she was born. All that mattered was she was healthy 💞

No but I think I would have been disappointed if my baby didn't turn out to be what I wanted. I really wanted a boy and  I'm having a boy.

I always thought I'd have a boy first. A little boy who would protect his younger siblings. When they told me that my first was a girl, I started bawling. I had this picture in my head, and it was ruined. I didn't love my sweet little girl any less when she was born, just because I was a bit upset when I found out that her gender wasn't what I expected/wanted.

My first I didn’t want to know but It was a girl who I was 💯 % sure was a boy but I wasn’t disappointed just surprised. It was more of I know how to raise boys bc I have 6 brothers what am I supposed to do with a girl. And this time around I did ask gender and it’s a boy so one of each and I’m done. The only thing disappointing is I have so many girls clothes.

When I was pregnant with my second son I think I had a moment of disappointment but being that I already had one boy, I already knew how it is to raise a boy and I honestly couldn’t be any happier. I am pregnant with our third child and I would love for this one to be a little girl. If it is a third boy I would be happy either way. My husband is one of six boys. People say we are just doomed for boys because of that  but he has two brothers that had girls and my family has a boy/girl pattern and if we follow the pattern, a boy is next. So we shall see. I think with anyone, they always want that boy and girl but everyone turns out to be blessed at the end of the day.

This is my second and I’m really hoping for a girl so I can have one of each. If it’s another boy I might be a little disappointed but I will still be happy to have a healthy baby at the end of the day
