Sneaky Sneaky

SO, last night my bf fell asleep early (around 6) and slept until 11:30 and woke up as I decided to go to bed. I fell asleep and woke up around 5:30am to see him sitting at the edge of the bed with floss, a pen, and his phone with ruler measurements on it. I was a bit groggy and confused so I asked "....what are you doing...?" he shrugged and said "Nothing. Here, give me your hand..." I wordlessly handed it to him and he then proceeded to start wrapping my left hand ring finger in floss and marking with pen. I watched him for a few minute while he remessured and cut a few times asking me "What color of ring do you want?" I had already guessed on what he was doing because it had do to with me not knowing my ring size, so I replied "Silver..." He then showed me a basic silver band on his phone and said that he was getting both of us a promise ring. He told me he had planned on waiting to first buy me a ring after he came back from his mandatory 2 years of service (he said he plans to ask me to marry him around then, we would have been together for 5 years around then.) But he said that he wanted something in the future rings place for when he was gone (leaves this coming up summer).
