thoughts?

i feel like as a modern society we feel we have to say our children or we get the “gasp” and judgment poured down upon us. but this does make a good point. i want my children to understand that without their parents they wouldn’t exist and that it is because of us that they are afforded the things in life they have and they will respect us if for no other reason than that we created them. and even just writing the words, “we are more important that our kids” gives me that little ping of guilt but yes, as parents, we are the most important people in our family.
