Birth control for teens

So when i was about 15 i began taking birth control . It was mostly because i was having terrible periods but it was also the age that i lost my virginity . Now that im 22 & ttc , coming off birth control has taken a toll on my body & i regret ever being on it . So my question is .... if you know ur teen is sexually active would u force them to get on birth control or give them the option of choosing to have safe sex (condoms) to prevent pregnancy? I personally would leave the option up to my teen & hope that shes responsible in whatever choice she makes . I wouldnt want to automatically put her on bc once i find out shes having sex . What do u guys think ??
