Husband sexual assault?

I was sleeping. And I woke up to groping. My husband REFUSES to shower. So we haven’t had sex in a long ass time. He treats me horribly. And I plan on leaving soon. But Anyway, what you guys do in this circumstance? I kicked him off a couple times and he finally left the room

I think a lot of people in the comments are forgetting that part where you mentioned not having sex in a long time. Which implies you've told him you don't want him to wake you up by attempting to sexually assault you. Who refuses to shower anyway? He sounds like a creep

Well since he did leave the room and didn’t try to keep going, and you two are married, I don’t think he was intentionally trying to scare, hurt or upset you. I do think you should talk to him about this though, and tell him you were not comfortable with that.. and if it happens again, that’s when I would take any kind of further action.

I mean honestly I think that if your husband didn't know you had intentions to leave he probably wasn't trying to take advantage of you, there are many times in my marriage I roll over to my husband and touch on him but that's normal for us and since we're married i feel like that's a perk of marriage , now if you told him to get off and he didn't I see your point but if you don't like something it's up to you to tell him your boundaries because since you guys are married he probably was doing it innocently with no intent to upset you.

Honestly, it really depends on what your decided in your relationship. Can someone assault and even rape their spouse? Absolutely. But if you've mutually decided you're okay with certain things in your relationship or having clearly defined that you do or do not want certain things to happen, Meaning, is this the first time he groped you? Would he have a reason to believe he shouldn't do it? I can certainly understand waking up to anyone touching you could absolutely be alarming, but it shouldn't be if this is something you've agreed on together. Hopefully that makes sense.  
I'm just asking questions, not accusing, pointing fingers, or shaming.

He violated you. Anyone saying otherwise doesn’t understand consent or has twisted views of marriage. I am SO sorry. This is SA. Did you guys previously discussed being okay with this behavior, talked about boundaries, etc? I believe you and hear you.

I'd be sleeping on the couch or in another bed if he's refuses to shower. We wake up in the middle of the night groping one another, only happens because we're in the same bed, often we don't know who started it.
