HELP!! What did you momma' s do for severe constipation? I'm 8 weeks today.

A little back story.  I was in the ER twice this last weekend. I had to stay over night Saturday because my blood pressure was scary low and I was also diagnosed with Hyperemisis.  Due to all the IV meds and oral meds since I've been home, I've been severely constipated.  I've tried softeners, Miralax, glycerol suppositories and still nothing.  I'm going on 7 days with little to no movement what so ever.  I'm bloated and in a lot of pain.  HELP!!!!!

magnesium citrate once a week and colace the other days. I normally take linzess every three days but its not considered safe for pregnancy so I have been having the same issue. avoid cheese

My doctor told me I can take Colace 100mg up to 3 times a day and it has worked wonders! It's an over the counter med.

Eat greens and a low salt intake

A few dried apricots a day keep things moving. Lots of fiber

I took a good swig of Milk of Magnesia a couple of times a day when I was terribly constipated along with drinking orange or apple juice throughout the day. Milk of Magnesia is the only thing that helped me without causing nasty cramping. Also lots of water of course.
