7 month old’s eyes

My son will be 7 months in a week and since he’s been born his eyes have been a dark blue. Lately when he’s in the sun or around light I notice a brown ring around the pupil then blue around that. Are they turning brown? His dad has blue eyes and I have brown. His dad got blue eyes from his father but my husbands mom had brown so I was hoping that would occur with us but I guess they will be brown? Has this happened to anyone else’s baby? Idk when their eyes change color permanently but I am dying to know.
