My boss told my coworkers I'm pregnant. Do I have the right to be upset?
Explanation:
In 2017, my husband and I have been pregnant four times. The first, in January, resulted in an ectopic pregnancy. The second and third, were miscarriages. The fourth, I can now say I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant and everything is great. I work in the medical field, but have never asked for time off regarding any of these instances. Even when I was in the hospital with my ectopic pregnancy. My job description/duties have in no way changed- I simply wear gloves or additional protection for myself, as well as my child.
Today, I felt comfortable enough telling a few of my coworkers this. To which they told me, they found out back in October.
I'm fucking pissed, dude. I literally ASKED HER NOT TO TELL ANYONE. Because I'm still doing the same job, I'm wicked pissed. Am I in the wrong? Do I say something to her? I work for a large company- is this something I should take directly to HR?
*And honestly- I don't like pity. And I don't like talking about my miscarriages, especially at work, because I have a job to do, that gets my mind OFF the issue*
