Ovarian cysts rupture causes false positive? :(

I had an ovarian cysts rupture about 4 days ago, my period also continues to be late buy a week and a half  so I took a pt and got a BFP. I definitely don’t want to get my hopes up but is there a a higher change it’s really negative than positive? I have a doctors appointment Monday.

I've never heard of a ruptured cyst causing a positive pregnancy test.

Iv had very bad cyst since I was 12 and both my pregnancies were real positives I have never had a false positive anytime due to cyst and i have taken many pregnancy tests over the years

I would say that you are pregnant. Your period is late etc. who told you a cyst ruptured?? Are you sure it wasn’t implantation, a ligament preparing to stretch, etc?

So I went on Google and yes a cyst can cause a false positive. I did see that it mentioned it would show up on a test with lower sensitivity. Since your posituve is so dark, I want to say buy a digital to set your mind at ease until you see your doctor on Monday.
