Boyfriend probs??

So. Me and my boyfriend have been dating for almost a year now. But, he lives five hours away from me, and we’ve never called. (Mainly because I wasn’t comfortable with it...so if I lose him it’s really my fault lol.) Anywho, we’ve always had some great, conversations but lately, he just hasn’t been texting me as much. He’d leave me on read, and then text back the next day. Sometimes I’d text him, and he wouldn’t even read it, but he’d be on social media doing stuff. I mean of course he apologized. But I sorta feel like he wasn’t doing it because he was really sorry, but mainly because he felt like he had too. He’s a really good guy, and when he does text me back it’s like the no-texting-back thing didn’t even happen, the only problem is getting him to text back. We’re both people who don’t like confrontation, so obviously I’m not going to say anything, and neither is he.... I guess my question is, should I be worried? Could he be busy? Or talking with some new friends? Or am I just more invested in this relationship than he is....
