I’m so embarrassed please read and help 😞

So I was on top of my boyfriend and I finally told him I loved him , and he started laughing because he didn’t know if I was serious or not... I told him I was being serious and he didn’t say anything. I’ve been holding it in for a while and I finally built up the courage to tell him. We’ve been together for a while and we’ve known each other since kids 🤦🏽‍♀️ I got off of him and told him I knew he didn’t feel the same towards me. Now we are just sitting here in complete silence and idk what to do. He means so much to me &’ suddenly I feel like by me telling him I love him, made him feel different towards me. I’m so embarrassed now, I feel like I should’ve never even said anything. I feel like I should’ve waited for him to say something 😪I feel soo embarrassed right now..
