Age difference

My boyfriend and I are 18 years apart. I have never dated men that much older then me until him. When we first met I had no clue his age and he looks much younger then he is. I am 25 and he is 43 We have been together two years now and about a year ago he got a vesectomy reversal and we have been trying to have a baby ever since. He has a ten year old daughter and I love her so very much but since she is older it's harder to have that close bond. Her mother treats her like her best friend and I find it inappropriate to be that close with her.

Now that you have a back story I guess I'm looking to see if anyone else has gone through this. I've always dreamed of a family and I fell in love with someone who already had one. I'm extremely happy to be part of it but I'm worried I won't be able to get pregnant and the longer it takes the older he gets. Our age difference is hard, having an older step child Is hard, it's all challenging. We've made it through a really rough time and our friends and family have finally gotten over their issues with what they thought of us settling. I love these two with all my heart and I've never been this happy in my entire life so I won't say goodbye. But what can help me get through the emotions of not being able to get pregnant, the thought of my husband not being around when our child does get older, or even his ten year old not accepting the fact that I want my own children as if she isn't enough. I've been handling it all so well that I need an outlet. I'm only human. Female in that case with lots of emotions lol
