new guy vs. best friend

so there is this new guy i kind of like, he’s really fun and cool and we talk a lot about a lot of things. but i don’t know if he is really wanting a relationship or if he just wants to have fun. he is really cute but he kind of parties a lot and i don’t know how i feel about that. then there is my best friend who basically told me he is in love with me but i don’t know if i wanna travel down that path yet. what should i do???
