So I am 37 weeks 3 days and today I had an appointment with my OB. I told him that this morning I woke up and my stomach was tightening off and on with no pain at all. As the day has progressed when it does tighten I get a cramping sensation but nothing too intense. I was induced with both of my boys and have no idea what it feels like to go in labor naturally. He checked me to see if I was dilated and said, " interesting. " He said I am open on the outside but closed on the inside of my cervix! I thought there was only one opening! He said something like a cervix is like a funnel but it made no sense to me at all! Can anyone help me clarify and does this mean I may go into labor soon? She is head down and he said that she has dropped since last week.
