Question

How do most hospitals feel about the siblings staying in the hospital?? My son will be four and he’s disabled so he doesn’t walk or talk won’t be much of a problem but I don’t really have anyone to actually watch him the days we will be in the hospital because my family will be there during the birth but after it’ll probably be just me and him and his new sister. Are hospitals ok with this??

Mine does not allow it if the child is under age 15. Siblings are only allowed for short visits, they're not allowed in the room while you deliver or overnight.

I’d call and ask they’d probably say it’s not allowed though. The fact you have family coming for the birth then leaving they’ll probably see that as you have people to watch your oldest. No harm in calling and ask though

Find a sitter hun at least just for the nights they can get there real early and leave at night

Mine didn’t allow children to stay but you could always call, explain your situation and see if there’s anything you can do

My hospital didn’t allow minors to stay overnight in the hospital room. You should be able to contact your hospital to ask their policy, though.

Mine does not allow kids under 12 unless they have their own supervising adult (not the patient).
