Transvaginal ultrasound scan..

I went to the doctor because of pain in the pelvic area. The doctor referred me for a internal scan. I had a letter today telling me to book an appointment with my doctor to get my results which made me nervous because I never got a letter when I had one last year, I just booked an appointment a week later. Anyway, I didn’t tell my doctor that I had been ttc for 6 months with no luck I’m just embarrassed to talk about it, I don’t know why. But I’m just wondering if there is a reason I haven’t conceived, if there is a problem, would it have showed up on a ultrasound scan? Or can’t they tell this way?
