What helps to start labour?

First of all i know it will all come naturally but im curious to know what are the old wives tales on how to induce labour naturally at home. No hate im curious and excited about giving birth soon.

Idk they say eat spicey food or stimulate your nipples lol. but Idk if any of it really works. i just walk allot

It’s the baby that tells your body it’s ready to be born. The baby releases a hormone when it’s lungs are ready to breathe on their own.
My midwife and others have mentioned eating dates, taking evening primrose oil, drinking raspberry leaf tea and acupuncture are all things that might help prevent needing to be induced.

Your body will only go into labor if it’s truly ready. And if your body is ready then there are things that can help. Evening primrose oil, bouncing on a yoga ball, sex (can also help in the effacement of the cervix), walking, and squats. I’m sure there are other things but my brain eludes me right now.
