Relationship??

I’ve been hooking up with a guy for almost six months, and things were pretty clearly just about sex. We had car sex for the first time for both of us a week ago, and after he’s been more affectionate towards me and making more of an effort, to text me for a conversation without it ending in him coming round to fuck, which I’m for because I’ve always kind of wanted more with him.

So a few days ago he came round and was like “I’m gonna buy you dinner” and I was like okay this isn’t like normal and we went out for dinner, then we came back and he was really cuddly and kept kissing me (which normally only happens once when he leaves) we still had sex, but after he got really open about his ex and how they broke up, and we just talked. He also said he isn’t seeing anyone else and he phoned his friends and told me to talk to them so I could “get to know them” before I meet them..

My problem is now I literally don’t know what to say to him. I obviously want us to keep heading more towards this kind of relationship but I haven’t spoken to him since Tuesday and I’m worried he is thinking I’m backing away because of our “heart to heart”
