so im moving to belgium under the military thingy. so they need to mnow if im healthy. that includes a pap test! just the name scares me and ik it has something to do with a gynocologist. im a virgin, so idk how that will go..

Virgins don’t need Pap tests. They’re for sexually activate women. As an Australian, I don’t understand why the US does these in virgins, or conducts pelvic exams. I’ve never had a pelvic exam in my life.
If you HAVE to have a Pap test done, say you’re a virgin, it’s your first one and ask for the smallest speculum. Tell them to be very gentle. But I think it’s entirely unnecessary though.

It's a test that checks your cervix for signs of cervical cancer. Usually you don't need one unless you're sexually active or over age 21. It's uncomfortable to have done, but not too bad, really.

It’s fine. I got mine done when I was just 14. It’s not painful. A bit uncomfortable but it’s not unbearable. What they do is they prop your legs up, use a tool called a speculum to open you up lol, and then take this little tool and swab your cervix to test for any abnormal cells. That’s it. It’s quick. It’s a bit embarrassing but then you realize they’ve done this to hundreds of people by now. It’s a routine thing that they’re used to so nothing to feel overly embarrassed over.
