did your relationship change after the baby?

I keep hearing that relationships change after a baby, usually for the worse. I just can't seem to figure out why..
did your relationship change after the baby? if so, how so? better, worse, stayed the same?

no... I mean... it exposed my ex for the psycho he was and lazy piece of dog shit he is . but our relationship always sucked... kids just magnified that ...my husband now.. our relationship blossomed and I see the most beautiful side of him... ♡.. so I think that's my answer and theory ..  a bad relationship is destined to fail/progressively suck way more ass after the addition of kids ..whereas a decent relationship will flourish and handle the added responsibility ... of course our roles change when a baby comes... so it is important to remember the wild heat BEFORE baby and who you both are ... don't get lost in baby world and lose yourselves n you LL be good . always schedule date nights and the occasional weekend getaway ... continue dating your mate and keeping it spicy .. let's not forget we have needs that need tending as well .

Right after my daughter was born there was a little bit more fighting but that was only due to lack of sleep I don't think it changed us if it did it was for the better we became closer

I'm pretty sure it's due to me having pretty crappy PPD and our baby was born at 27 weeks so him being in the nicu made me even more emotionally a mess but I always think my guy is out to screw me over when he does really sweet things for me and is always trying to do the best he can with being with me and being a dad. After having our little guy I'm always on edge and I'm just so lucky that my honey is understanding about it all because if he wasn't he would've left my ass ages ago. Babies change a persons life completely so if it didn't affect someone's relationship even a tiny bit that I'd be weirded out.

We went through a rough patch. We never discussed who would be getting up with the baby because I didn’t think we needed to, I assumed at almost 40 my husband would offer to help me out. Well he didn’t. He still doesn’t. I resented him a lot because of that and because he wasn’t going through anything physical from becoming a parent. I was bleeding, sore, hormones out of control, breastfeeding was a struggle. I made the mistake of not communicating these things and looking back I really should have. It took us a year to get back to being us. We definitely don’t get a lot of alone time or date nights anymore but we have a bond I don’t share with anyone else. We’re raising a human and that’s really rewarding. 
To end my ramble, talk ahead of time, communicate after, and remember you really do love each other and it’s not always going to be difficult.

Yes. Sometimes we fight more but that because we don’t sleep.  It just different having a baby round.  He work over night so not home and sleep in the afternoon. My son is up all morning so we don’t get time for us two but we are trying to work with it.  Sometimes I miss us but I love my son and husband so much.

I’m due in March and my boyfriend is more than excited about it. I think for us it’ll be for the better. It’ll bring us even closer together. He continuously reminds me that we’re meant for each other. 
Everyone is different. Babies are a lot of work. But if it’s something you really want, it shouldn’t change how people feel towards each other. :)
