Due Aug 4th, Christmas Announcement?

Will be 8 weeks by Christmas. Family knows and a lot of other people are finding out. Should we take advantage and do a cute Christmas announcement on Facebook or wait a bit longer. I always said I’d wait until 12 weeks to post anything but we are so excited and a lot of people are already finding out anyways.

We haven’t decided yet. Our families both gossip and have big mouths so if we decide to tell family, we might as well tell the world. I’m leaning towards keeping it a secret longer but we have a couple days left to decide.

I will be 8 weeks on Christmas also and will be telling both sides of our families. However, my next ultra sound with my OB isn’t until January 2nd so I think we will wait until then to announce to social media. (I’ll still only be 9week) But it’s definitely just a personal preference! I totally get being cautious too, but for me I chose to just think positive and pray! Plus I want to be able to post and talk freely about the whole pregnancy. I’d hate to waste the first few months in secret, but that’s just me personally! Good luck and congrats!!

It’s a very personal choice. Personally I’m telling people I wouldn’t mind also telling if something bad happened, which I prefer not to even think about. But I have a lot of random friends on fb that I wouldn’t really want sending me messages if I had something happen.  But yeah. Completely up to you and your comfort level.

With my first pregnancy I announced on Christmas at 8 weeks after my ultrasound. If you want to I say go ahead!

So exciting!!! When did you decide to tell family? I’ll be 7 weeks on Christmas and am in such a debate if I should tell our parents then or not! I’m leaning towards yes though!
