What is this on my daughter's toe?

I was playing with my daughter, and noticed this on her toe. It doesn't seem to be bothering her, but it doesn't look good. There's nothing stuck to her toe, it's an actual wound/sore of some sort. Any ideas? It wasn't there yesterday.

to me it looks like the skin cracked (either from bei ng too dry or too wet) and is healing

It does look a bit like a dried blister that popped and is scabbing over. I'm a dancer so I've gotten things like that all the time. At this stage it wouldn't hurt anymore but I'm surprised your LO didn't mention pain earlier. Maybe it wasn't big enough to cause too much pressure and pain?

My son gets things like this on his little toes, but not quite so bad. It comes from dry skin that cracks. It takes a while to heal. I use coconut oil, that seems to work best.
