To circumcise or not? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m having a baby boy in March and I really don’t know if we’re circumcising him or not. I think my boyfriend wants to, I just don’t know. Feel free to share opinions! I’d like to hear both sides 😊

I’m due in March, and we are circumcising our son. I don’t have strong feelings either way, but my husband felt strongly that we should. I started feeling bad about the pain, but I felt better after discussing it with my doctor. She was very clear that it’s cosmetic, but she did talk about the ease of cleanliness throughout his life and reality that it’ll never be easier than when he’s a newborn to do this, so I’m feeling better about the whole thing now. You should do whatever you and your SO feel is best for your son.

I let my husband decide and he said no for our first boy and still a no for our second boy. I don’t think it’s necessary at all :)

we have decided against circumcision for our son.  Dad is circumsized but still agrees that keeping our son intacted is the right choice for us.

I’m also due March 8 and we will be circumcising our son. Mostly because my husband feels very strongly about it. 
I honestly don’t think there’s a good enough reason to circumcise since it’s cosmetic. It’s a bit cruel IMO. But my husband felt very strongly for it. He’s intact and hates it. So he doesn’t want our son to have same issues. So ultimately I left it up to him. 
Trust your gut. It’s really fine either way you decide.

My son is uncircumcised but I wish I would have had him circumcised. My March baby will be circumcised. It’s just one more thing you have to worry about 😩

I have 3 boys. My first was circumcised and the next two are intact. When they are babies and toddlers the foreskin doesn’t retract so you clean it just like a finger. When the foreskin retracts, you teach them to pull it back and rinse it off.  My ex-husband (first 2 kids) is also circumcised and we cut our first before doing any research because that’s just what everyone did. He is now a huge advocate of keeping your baby whole. All mammals have a foreskin. Please do more research💕
