My MIL and his grandparents live 40 mins from us. His sister has been in town at his moms since Friday afternoon. We asked his family 3 times what their plans were for Christmas <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a>. They had zilch planned. We told them we were going to have my folks down Christmas <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a> and spend Christmas Day with his family. They agreed.

My parents live 2.5 hours from us. I hosted them, my sister, her husband and their two kids tonight for dinner and gift opening..with our family. Six adults, two kids. A full house, right?

After they left tonight, my husband tells me his mom and sister had their feelings hurt because they texted him during our dinner and said they were coming over to have a drink with him. Luckily, my husband was strong enough to tell them no...we had a full house and were about to open gifts. They got bent out of shape.

It pisses me off because they knew our plans and tried to invite themselves over during my side of the family’s Christmas time. They never want to visit unless they know my family is going to be there, and then they have a pity party if we tell them no, we have other plans. I truly believe they do it to make my husband feel guilty for spending time with my family. Anyone in the same boat? Help? I’m tired of it. 😡
