Wanting to lose weight

So I have been chubby... well fat my whole life. I have never really been comfortable in my body and often times I find myself disgusted when looking in the mirror. I really want to lose weight, not just to be able to smile when I look in the mirror, but also feel healthier and treat my body better. I was wondering if there was any tips anyone could give about weightless and motivation. One morning I want to go for a walk and do all these healthy activities, and the next I want sit around and eat cheesecake (the second one preferably). Does anyone have good advice on how to stay motivated or maybe an app that helps with weightloss and staying on track. I am a broke college student so I would prefer to keep expenses low. Thanks!!
