Weekly stool movements???

Question

My LO is 6 weeks old and probably has a stool movement once every 4-5 days. She’s being breastfeed and has formula once or twice a day. Is this normal, is she constipated, or is this something else?

My doctor told me for formula fed it can be once a day up to five days apart and breastfed babies usually more than once a day. But because you do both it could stop the baby up a little. You can look up stuff on baby center or American pediatrics association to find some solid answers, they’re usually credible. Or if you’re really worried about it just call your doctor, they have he magic answers to things we think might be too silly to ask!

Likely fine as long as they aren’t having trouble while pooping. Go ahead and give the nurses line a call.
