should I be upset ?

so my boyfriend wanted to take me to his home town with him for Christmas..it was something I was looking forward to for a long time..months and months..and his mom even said yes..i was all excited and the only person they had to ask was his dad.. his dad is kinda difficult but not to bad..well my bf and I had went on a break cause we were arguing to much and I moved out and moved with my dad, when we had got back together he was still talking to me about taking me still and he still had to ask his dad. even his barber asked him if he was taking me and he said yes possibly..well the day finally came when they left and guess who d idnt go..me..i tried to be understanding like okay well next time but I saw a picture of his brother and his brothers girlfriend there..i kinda feel left out because I was looking forward to going and kinda got left in the dust while everyone else went..i feel kinda hurt right now..idk what to do..
