Can you overly tweak something?

Is there such a thing as overly tweaking? Because within the timeframe I saw a VVVVFL, and when I really edit the picture I feel like it’s obviously there. Can you tweak (or edit) a test photo to make a line appear or would the line only be there for a positive test result? Thanks ladies!
