So I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost 3 years now and his family just drives me BONKERS! They are so clingy vs my family. My family just does their own thing, they’re not all up in my face or business or constantly asking me what I’m doing. Like his grandma will literally come in the house and be like “what are you doing” or “what are you cooking” while she can VISIBLY SEE what I’m doing or cooking. Don’t get me wrong, I love and adore his family. But man... I just cannot deal with the constant attention and questions. I can’t sit, eat, drink, DO MY BUSINESS IN THE BATHROOM without being bothered or questioned. I completely understand and don’t mind the causal “hi, how are you” conversations because that’s just what people do. And his siblings... MAN. One of his siblings in particular is always so rude. So much attitude for no reason towards me. I’ve done everything I can to win her over I guess, but she just chooses to be this way towards me. We’ve managed to become friends after 2.5 years and til this day she is still so rude. She can joke around, call me fat etc but if I joke around with her it’s always an issue. Like it makes NO SENSE. I just have no clue what to do. I truly love this man with all my heart and I cannot imagine being with somebody else. I found my soul mate in him. I’m just hoping when we finally get our own place, things will get a little better. But until then...
