Marriage

This is just a rant. So my fiance and I decided to get married in a court room a year before doing a church wedding. We both arent party people and decided to not do anything and keep the both weddings small (parents and sisters family) however i am so irritated by the side comments and looks people give me when we tell them. I know I shouldnt care but it has gotten annoying. Hearing how we are being cheap and such. I am tired that they dont understand that A. we dont like parties B. we want something small and intimate C. he isnt being cheap because he got me a fantasy ring i do not care about the ring but rather that when he asked he did it out of love and made it memorable D. i do not care that he isnt giving me a big luxury wedding like my sisters i just dont understand why people cant be happy i found someone who i love and want to share my life with
