herpes?

so for about a week and a half i suffered from a bacterial infection which i treated with peroxide (used it before with success) and then i got a yeast infection so i used the 1 day treatment well after that everything went downhill. i had VERY painful urination, discharge, swelling, and even sores..i was so miserable i went to the hospital twice...no stds. i kinda have a feeling the self treatments i did reacted bad together and i had chemical burn? Certainly had BV. The hospital said they couldnt help me so i went to an ob/gyn. week later im told my culture for herpes is positive but the blood test for it is negative. should i get a second opinion? im perfectly fine now...it only took a week to go away and all i had was meds for BV(flagyl)
