How much should my 2 week old be eating?

I feel like I’m giving her to much. She eat about 3-3.5oz every 3 hours. She on formula and breast milk. I was fine until my husband brought up that his coworkers daughter, who is three months old, is just now starting to take 3oz. She doesn’t spit it back up or anything. I guess I’m just worried😔

That's about how much my son was eating then. The nurses at the hospital told me that if he gets overfed he'll spit it back up. 🤷🏼‍♀️

No one can tell you exactly what your child should or shouldn’t be eating because all baby’s are different and eat different especially when it comes to formula fed baby’s and breast milk baby’s. Your child might be hungry more feeding or less hungry.

I’m not an expert by any means but I always just went with, “if she’s hungry she’ll let me know and when she’s full she’ll let me know”. I don’t remember exactly how much my daughter was eating at that age but I think it was 2-4 oz. I think doctors look more at the total for 24 hours versus how much at a time.
