should I take a pregnancy test?

I had unprotected sex almost a month ago with my boyfriend, who's supposed to be infertile. it was during my fertile window, I literally remember getting a notification saying it was my fertile window the day we had sex. He didn't cum inside of me, he pulled out but I know there's always a chance he wasn't fast enough. my period was supposed to start today (now late by one day) and I've had no pms that I normally have, except I was a little moody the past few days. I've gotten a yeast infection, which I've heard is common with first pregnancies (??) I don't know how true that is, but everywhere I've looked said a yeast infection could be a sign. I've really never had a pregnancy scare, and I really don't know if I should take a test now or not. I was going to wait a few more days for my period because sometimes its a little late, but I'm genuinely very scared. please help!!
