hormone imbalance?

So this is the second month in a row now that I get positive test, get my period and was never pregnant. in September I had an ectopic and before that in April I had a mc. I think my hormones are off because this month and last month I tested (bc I'm ttc) and got positives and went to the Dr only for them to do an ultrasound and see nothing and to do a blood test and last month my level was 15 this month it's 12. anyone have this happen. I also suffer anxiety and depression not sure if it could be a part of the imbalance.

I’m sorry for your losses. 
I’d recommend seeing an RE. It actually sounds like you had chemical pregnancies that are very early miscarriages these last two months. So 4 miscarriages in a just a few months. 
As we age the chance of miscarriage/chromosome abnormalities increases but unfortunately some people have this happen in their 20s. You will want to ask to have your AMH tested to get an idea of that. 
You will also want to ask for a RPL panel which checks for blood clotting disorders or genetic mutations. 
As for hormone imbalance, I would also want them thyroid (TSH). If your TSH value is questionable then they will need to do a free T3 and T4. When you end up pregnant again, in addition to the quantitative hcg test have them test your progesterone to see if that is low. Some doctors will let you try progesterone suppositories even if you don’t have a history of low progesterone. Some studies have shown progesterone is better absorbed placed near the cervix as a suppository than when it is taking orally. 
In the mean time, baby aspirin thins the blood and has been linked to decreasing the risk of miscarriage so I would look into that. Key word being baby aspirin, 81mg. Do not take regular aspirin. 
Please see an RE though. OBs aren’t always the best source of information when it comes to issues with getting and/or staying pregnant. If you can’t see an RE, ask your OB for the tests I mentioned. I had a ectopic 2 yrs ago and I'm still TTC for our first child. and when I has that ectopic it took 3 months for my HCG levels to get to 0 but they eventually dropped.
