My baby doesn’t like me?

Having a rough go right now...

My son is 4 months old. I bonded with my him immediately (**no shame if you didn’t-that’s normal too!**) and he was very happy and attached to to me up until he was around 2 1/2-3 months. Now he lights up with smiles and laughs when he sees his dad (which I love, don’t get me wrong!) or my mom, MIL, anyone except me basically. I try so hard to make him happy, making silly faces and voices like everyone else, playing with him, snuggling him..I even backed off a bit in case I was overwhelming him but nothing changed. He’s my only child and I’m not working so I guess I thought he’d be closest to me because we’re together all the time (also exclusively breastfeeding). It’s becoming so heartbreaking because now he’s started crying more if I’m the one holding him vs someone else. I feel like a total failure, he seems happier in others care. Has anyone else experienced this?
