How do you know if you want children?

Hello ladies :-) I know some women know from an early age that they want to be a mother. I always thought I wanted children too. I am 25 now. I have no children and I just don't know if I do or don't want children. I don't know really. Is there anyone out there that felt like this and then did have kids? I am looking for any and all opinions! Everything is appreciated :-)

I never wanted kids until I met my husband. Don’t feel pressured into having them if you’re undecided. At 25, you still have plenty of time.

I had a really tough time making the decision. I just realized that I could not imagine my future without them and made the decision. Also, I know my husband will be an amazing dad. I'm pregnant now so we will see how it goes. Lol. I knew if I waited I would be like 50 before I felt like I was "ready" and it would be too late.  It also helped that my friends have kids and that made me feel more comfortable.

I have always been very career focused and didn't start thinking about having kids until my mid-30s after I did my MBA.  I always felt that either way there was a future path for me filled with happiness but as I approached 40 and was in a stable, loving relationship, I knew I wanted to try.  It took fertility treatments for us to conceive but we're now looking forward to a new reality for the 2nd half of our lives.

I was always on the fence about having kids and it's the kind of thing that you really need to be sure about. I didn't really feel the urge until I met my husband. Once I met someone I wanted to have kids with it became very clear for me.

I started to feel broody in my early thirties but it took until age 36 to find the right person and settle down with him. Throughout my first pregnancy I had lots of doubts, though I now adore my son. I’m pregnant again and having the same questions but I trust that once the little one is here I’ll love him/her too

I never wanted kids even when I was married. A divorce and a new and healthy relationship later, and I'm almost 10 weeks with our first. For me, I knew in that philosophical way people talk about.

I have always wanted them but knew I had to meet the love of my life first and for me we met when I was 18 (I’m 19 almost 20 now) and we discussed the idea a little while after our engagement and we waited until we had good stable jobs and We just knew 100000% We wanted them, but not being sure is okay to my cousin wasn’t sure until she got pregnant and she said she wouldn’t of know she wanted them until she got pregnant

I’ve always known I wanted kids. This is not a popular opinion but I feel, biologically as women it’s our purpose/duty.
