Twice tonight, I asked my boyfriend kindly if he could please not drink any more because it was clear he had two too many drinks. He agreed he would not and then ended up drinking more. Am I over reacting? Because I feel like it's totally disrespectful.

This totally depends on the situation. Where were you? What were you celebrating? Did you have plans the next morning to warrant telling him to stop drinking? 
I personally think it’s unhealthy and terrible for anyone to tell their partner to stop drinking unless they’re being violent or mean or vomiting. You can suggest it but to tell him to stop because you think he’s had too much is wrong.

I would be annoyed, yes. I’ve been in your situation before. Sometimes he listens and stops, sometimes he doesn’t. I ask him to please not have another drink when he’s at the point of embarrassing himself or me. When he doesn’t listen, he’s usually too drunk to understand why I’m annoyed or even what I’m saying properly lol, it’s not worth it when he’s drunk so I leave it for the next morning and tell him all about what he did to embarrass himself and how it embarrassed me, and I must admit he listens to me when I tell him to stop a lot more now because he realises that I can see better than he can when he’s hit his limit.
