How did you announce your BFP to your SO?

I’m hoping for a BFP this year, but curious how most people tell their SO. I think I’d like to surprise him with some romantic grand gesture but not sure how I’d do it when the time comes but I want to be prepared! 💕

For baby #1, I had a plan and a Captain America shirt that said All-Star Dad on it. Well, we had been trying for about a year, and I was so shocked when I got the BFP that I just walked over to him and tossed him the shirt. Lol! With baby #2, I had a big brother shirt for my son. I went about our normal morning routine and got him dressed in his shirt and told him to go find dad. He just casually walked into our bedroom like he does every morning and my husband saw his shirt. My son was 18 months at the time so he had no idea what was going on. It worked out well.

With our first I found out a week before Christmas in 2014, so I put the tests in a small gift bag and gave it to him. He was shocked and excited it finally happened!
Ironically I found out we were pregnant again 2 days before Christmas! So I put the tests in a tiny gift box and put them in his stocking with the rest of his stuff. So when we did our stocking Christmas morning he opened it and freaked out haha! We've been trying for so long to have this baby, he was so excited! It was so hard not telling him when I found out! I'm almost 6 weeks with our second! 💕

My husband and I had been trying and each test was negative (I had just gotten my Mirena out) he got me to test Mother’s Day and it was negative so I told him I needed to wait a little bit. I took one the Thursday after Mother’s Day while he was still asleep (before he woke up for work) and went running in there and jumped on the bed and said baby you gotta see this and he was like what it’s two line what’s that mean 😂😂😂 I said baby we’re pregnant!!! Outside of when my water broke with my daughter I had never seen that man jump outta bed so fast on my life 😂😂😂

I handed him the test and said sooo this happened lol. Its our third and I am terrible at telling people...like the worst. Its so hard for me!!!

I was doing the test and he walked in. I was trying to cover the noise of the packaging with the shower on, so he thought I was in the shower. He almost never does that, but for some reason that day he did! 😂

Had this all set up in our room! I had tested a few days before and told him I had stomach cramps because I was going to get my period to throw him off the trail. He walked in and didn’t really see it and had to go check if it really said positive 🎉😂

It was a little sad being the DD this year but it will be worth it in 8 months!

I bought a pack of sleepers and gave them to him when he got home from work.  He knew I was going to test so immediately knew when I gave him the bag.

I woke him up at 5 am crying and he knew we was testing that morning but I woke early and needed a weee and he said he was scared to wake up as I was crying he thought it was a no but it was tears of joy
