Can a clit be too sensitive?

Hello everyone, so my boyfriend has been trying to eat me out for a while now. Even though he says he enjoys it, I still feel a little self conscious about having him licking down there. The part I’m more concerned about is that my clit may be too sensitive, as soon as he barely breaths near my vagina, it’s like I already want him inside of me and if he even licks it, it just feels like too much.
