Friends drop?

Anyone else have friends drop the second you found out you were pregnant? Currently 19yr old & 16 weeks along and everyone of my friends dropped off the face of the earth.

YEP. Lost every one of my ‘friends’ when I had my first. But I have a solid ‘been through hell with me’ squad of about 5 ladies, 3 of which are moms with kids just my age. It’s a hell of a lot easier to be friends with someone who knows that ‘sorry, my toddler lost his cup, I was avoiding world war 3’ is a valid excuse for why I took you 30+ minutes to reply to a text. You’ll find better friends in YOUR season of life who will support and encourage you in motherhood :) may I suggest the app ‘peanut’? It finds moms in your area! Like tinder but for mom friends.

If they aren’t speaking to you, they are not true friends. Maybe they feel like they don’t have anything in common with you?

Yep, 15w and 28. My ‘best friend’ has dropped me like a hot potato. I say ‘best friend’ because I knew it was only a matter of time; she was flakey and only interested in drinking, but still hurt.

I'm sorry honey. I had a friend who gave birth in HS and her life changed. It became hard to keep in touch because her priorities changed and she didn't have as much time to hang around and be stupid with the rest of us. They might not know how to relate to the changes in your life. I can only imagine how much this hurts. Focus on those who are still supportive. Hope things turn around for you, hon.
