First time mom praying for a safe and smooth normal delivery at a hospital and hoping the epidural works lol but how to manage pain before that? Haha thank you!

Using the yoga ball during labor helped me, it was worse laying in bed but moving around helped a lot

Move around, use gravity to your advantage, and breathe. Even if the pain is too much, concentrate on regular patterned breathing. It helped me a lot and it made my labor very smooth. Look up breathing techniques on YouTube or take a Lamaze class. Also learning as much as you can about what happens to your body in labor can help your anxiety and be more aware. This worked for me, but it may not work for others. Also ask if you can use the tub while in labor. Water helps with pain.

Breathe!!! My labor pains were terrible right before I got to the hospital. The labor nurse reminded me to do Lamaze breathing and it really helped!

Use a yoga ball and concentrate on your breathing. When we are in pain we tend to tense up, which only makes it worse because you are working against your body. So try to breath and not tense your body up.
