First period after delivery

Ladies,

I got my first period after delivery (6months) and the very same day I stopped producing milk!? I have been exclusively breastfeeding, sometimes giving my baby a bottle of formula if he seemed hungry - not more then 4-5 times a week since his 4 months of age.The last two weeks I didn’t even have to use formula, I had enough milk even though I had to feed him 2-3 times a night compared to one feeding a night before he turned 4m.

I had to use formula 3 times today and the rest feedings he worked so hard to suck the milk out of my both breasts. My Momma ego is so hurt, I was planning to breastfeed the whole year 😞 My breasts feel like jelly, not much in them. I am eating oatmeal, drinking mother’s tea and eating extra calcium vitamins, praying all that will help 😳

Has anyone experiencing the same?
