Bed pad???

Question

So this might seem super crazy but I’m making diaper inserts and I stumbled across washable bed pads! It says they hold 8 cups of liquid but I could just cut them into the sizes I want and bam I got diaper inserts. Call me crazy but I’m going to try it. 
What say you about my project?

Four layers of protection: Deluxe polycotton and premium brushed polyester quilted top, soft polyester fiberfill layer, Absorbent inner layer, and Non-slip latex-free waterproof barrier Absorbs quickly and locks in moisture 
Plus I plan on using a stay dry material for the top layer.

Okay so I’m hand sewing because my sewing machine is broke. But here is what it looks like. My scissors suck so it’s not as perfect as I want it be anywho...

So I cut into the bed pad and discovered it’s a layer of cotton material, a layer of cotton, a layer of zorb and a layer of pul. I think this is going to work plus I’m putting a layer microfleece on top. I also think this will be perfect inside a diaper cover.

Bed pad???
