Let down issue?

FTM here , 4 weeks PP.  I never really felt my letdown but always noticed milk gather around my baby’s mouth when feeding so I knew the letdown happened. Out of nowhere tonight I felt like my letdown did not happen! I tried hand expressing and milk did come out it just wasn’t a bunch like normally when she initially sucks. She seemed to keep nursing and wasn’t fussy. Also, the other breast would always leak like crazy when nursing and that didn’t happen either. She slept for a longer stretch tonight so I don’t know if that has something to do with it?

Your body starts to learn how much it needs to produce for your baby and eventually evens itself out so you don’t have as much of a leaking issue. I’m 4 months PP and sometimes I don’t feel the let down at all, other times I do feel it a little, but when I do feel it, it’s nowhere near as strong as it was early on. It’s all your body adapting to your baby. Doesn’t sound like you are having any issues. Keep doing what you’re doing and continue feeding baby whenever they are hungry! Congrats!

I'm 11 weeks pp and end. I didn't notice a sensation until about 4 weeks ago.  you'll recognise it over time.
