Should I block his number

I’ve been in love with this guy I used to hook up with

Things ended fast however

I still like him and I’m trying to move on - it was hard to move on at first because he would message me everyday getting my hopes up time after time but then he only started texting me everyonce in a while...the longest we hadn’t talked was almost two months and I thought I was about to get over it but boom he starts texting me again only to get my hopes up for nothing. It’s a pattern now and I keep falling for it.

I know I should block his number but somehow I still think we’ll reconnect somehow...

and a little part of me wants him to get mad if I ignore his messages.
