What would you guess?

Sarah

I’m finally getting my ultrasound on Thursday and I’m a nervous wreck. When we got this ultrasound done during week 7 they thought it was twins but could only find one heartbeat and then said it was probably just a yolk sac. It was a private ultrasound place that kept saying ‘we’re not sure cause we’re not doctors’ so really it could be nothing to worry about or it could be twins. ( I honestly think they retracted their statement because I was freaking out and not in an excited good way).

I’ve been nervously and patiently waiting for the last 2 1/2 weeks for this appointment on Thursday. I’m honestly hoping it’s NOT twins. We already have a 19 month old and he was a handful as a baby (and now). I was prepared for one extra baby but I can’t imagine taking care of two newborns and him. Every time I read about people having twins they’re all excited and I feel so selfish for hoping there is only one.

My belly seems bigger than it was for my first pregnancy at 9 weeks but I also know that your 2nd pregnancy you show sooner. That being said I’m starting this pregnancy 10lbs lighter then I did at the start of my first. Everything I read and compare my ultrasound to online just points to twins.

I know you’re all not doctors and I know I should just wait patiently till Thursday but I just honestly wanted some more opinions to pass the time while I anxiously wait for my 10 week ultrasound.
