Haven’t really talked about this, but I felt the need to let it out somewhere. Back in October, right before Halloween, my husband shot me in an attempt to kill me while he was in a drunken rage. The gun misfired when he had it to my head and instead went off when he put it to my leg. A leg wound might not sound like much, but the bullet missed my femoral artery by 6 millimeters and my femur by about a centimeter. It went straight through, after tearing my muscle almost in two. I have completely healed and am already back to my prior fitness level. Needless to say, the whole thing was a serious “come-to-Jesus meeting”, seeing as I could have been dead. Statistically, I SHOULD have been, but that’s neither here nor there...I have always tried to see the good in every situation, and I knew I wanted to get a tattoo to have as a reminder of what happened.
