OPKs not working?

So I bought ovulation tests to see when I’m ovulating, cause I feel like this app is screwing up my times for it. And I’ve only taken two on different days aaaaand they show nothing. Not even one blue line!!! Am I doing it wrong? Am I doing it on the wrong days? Cause yesterday was my “peak” of fertility and I had sex but why am I not getting a positive on the OPKs?! I’m using Equate opk sticks. Any help would be appreciated!!!

I started in day 10 and tested until I got a positive. I didn’t end up ovulating until day 20-22, so much later than the app predicts.

Are you following the directions EXACTLY? The directions overrwhelmed me with "Hold tip downward in stream for 5 seconds ONLY or cup for 20 seconds ONLY"  So I used the timer on my phone and just held it downward for the 3 minute wait and watched the lines form. You should start to see a flood of color about 12ish seconds in while holding the entire tip in urine then the control line will fill in and both are usually in before the 3 minutes if there is an LH surge.  Hope this helps. I used Clear Blue first then Equate.
