Periods

So when I'm at home I don't wear anything on my period( no tampon or pad) because my periods aren't really heavy and I find pads and tampons really uncomfortable for me. But if my mom washes my underwear, pants etc with the rest of my family's clothes. And let's say my brother has an std. could it go from his pants to mine in the laundry and then when i wear them with no underwear ( I'm talking about pjs) could it go to my vagina. So could something on his pants or underwear transfer to mine?
